Ø  Course Outcomes (COs) – Biotechnology By the end of the course, students will be able to:

CO1: Understand and apply fundamental concepts of biotechnology

Describe the core principles of molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, and biochemistry relevant to biotechnology.


CO2: Analyze biological systems and processes

Analyze the structure and function of biomolecules and interpret metabolic pathways and cellular functions.

CO3: Perform experiments using standard biotechnology tools

Apply techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, chromatography, and spectrophotometry for the analysis and manipulation of DNA, RNA, and proteins.

CO4: Understand the ethical, legal, and social implications of biotechnology

Evaluate the impact of biotechnological innovations on health, environment, and society, and understand issues related to biosafety and bioethics.

CO5: Demonstrate teamwork and leadership in laboratory and project settings

Work collaboratively in teams to plan, conduct, and evaluate biotechnology experiments or projects.
